Join the Sunbury Lite Fest Committee and Santa in our annual Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting festivities to kick off the Holiday Season!
Every year, on the Friday after Thanksgiving, the City of Sunbury hosts an annual parade and tree lighting celebration. The evening features family oriented craft and food vendors, a parade with the arrival of Santa and the lighting of the Tree in Cameron Park.
Come downtown to join the fun!
The 2008 Parade is dedicated to the memory of Ellie Rogan. Ellie Rogan organized and managed this event for many years, and passed away this year. Her dedication will be missed by all of us.
The 2008 Parade will form on Raspberry Ave near The Daily Item Press Building at 6:00 pm and step off at 6:30 pm. The parade will travel north on South 10th Street to Market Street to Cameron Park. The tree lighting will begin around 7:15 pm.
The City Band will entertain from the Cameron Park Gazebo and Carolers will stroll around the park to spread holiday spirit! Food, Deserts and Crafts will be available from vendors.
Santa will be on hand after the tree lighting to receive visitors and listen to children's wishes in his house in Cameron Park. Afterwards, Santa will be available Saturdays 3 pm to 5 pm and Sundays 1 pm to 3 pm through the last weekend before Christmas.
Participants are invited! Join us as a Parade participant or Vendor. Download the Holiday Parade Application below for details.
