Located on North Second Street, this playground offers so much to do for everyone in the family. Around since the late twenties, this playground has seen many changes. In 1999, the Oppenheimer received it's most exciting facelift in the form of a water park.
Along with the new water park came new Playworld equipment, computers for our lab, and state-of-the-art playground surface. The surface, made from recycled tires, has a soft cushion feel under your feet.
For those that are looking to shoot a few hoops, we have two basketball courts for your pleasure. Let us not forget the kid in all of us that likes to swing. The Oppenheimer has two swing sets to accommodate the younger and older kids. Summer Schedule: |

Open Monday - Friday from 9AM-9PM & Saturday and Sunday 11:00 am - 5pm
Oppenheimer Pleasure Grounds is available for rental. The playground does not close for rentals, HOWEVER ,we will provide rental space for your gathering. Please call 570-286-7820 for rental times and agreement. |
Oppenheimer Pleasure Grounds Rules

All children must have an Emergency Form and General Information Form on file. These forms can be downloaded here and are also supplied by the playground supervisors. Completed forms are to be returned to the playground supervisor.

NO foul language.

NO fighting.

NO spitting.

NO throwing stones, sticks, etc.

Shoes must be worn at all times when not in the water area.

You are responsible for what you get out. Put it back if you get it out.

NO bike riding inside the fenced area.

NO pets are allowed inside the fenced in area (exceptions are those used for handicapped purposes).

NO grills allowed.
