The City of Sunbury hosts several days of fun family-oriented events culminating with the best fireworks display in the area held every year on the second Saturday in July.
Activities include baseball tournaments, rides, amusements, food vendors, swimming and ice skating, just for starters!

Tenth Annual Soapbox Derby (Rain Date July ) Boys and Girls ages 8-12 with a weight limit of 125lbs. Soapbox cars will be provided by area businesses and individuals.
Market & Tenth Streets, Sunbury.
Soapbox Registration forms available at Mayor’s Office & Police Dept. (Monday thru Friday 9:00- 4:00 pm)
All racers must sign & weigh in no later than 10:30 am. Racers are encourage to pre-register.

(The following food items will be sold by the committee to help pay for the fireworks and is not to be sold by any other vendor: Chicken BBQ, Ribs, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and Ice Cream. For Vendor Registration please call the phone number below.)
Vendor Fee for Nonprofit Organizations $50.00 non-refundable
Vendor Fee for business for profit $100.00 non-refundable
Add an additional $10.00 if electricity is needed.
