At the picturesque point where the west and north branches of the Susquehanna converge, sits the City of Sunbury. Sunbury dates back to 1772 and was named for an English Village near London, England.

STREET SWEEPING SCHEDULE 3/23/2012 8:15 AM 
The Street Sweeping schedule will begin on April 2, 2012.
 
Warning notices will be placed on vehicles starting March 19th to March 30th.
 
Street sweeping schedules are available in the City Clerk's office and in the City's Spring Newsletter.
 
Brush Pile 3/16/2012 9:42 AM 
The City of Sunbury's Brush Pile will be opening on March 17, 2012 for the season.  The brush pile will be open every Saturday from 7:30 am until 12 noon.  They will accept yard waste (grass clippings, leaves and brush) from residents within the City's limits.  You must show proof of residency.  If you have any questions about the brush pile, please call the city barn at 570-286-5761.  Please leave your name and telephone number.
